Operation Walking Man - Goodbye From Bill

Bill was challenged many times over the past few years and especially the past 12 months. And although he felt discouraged for a short while, he overcame any doubts and became energetic, robust, and confident in his own progress and abilities. He was determined to reclaim himself, body and mind. He wanted to walk without a walker. He knew he would. Thus, we began working together on what we called Operation Walking Man. A few weeks before he died, as we drove home from therapy, he burst into song*. This video, captures just a bit of his lovely, happy spirit.

*I discovered the tune is Bill's remaking of the Jealousy Tango.

  2. I will miss Bill...I will always remember how well he was cared for by his loving wife, Cindy. The end of his human experience in this spiritual world came before I was ready for it to happen...but who am I to set the clock?...Rest easy, Walking man!. Tony Martin

I am one of Cindy's sisters. When I was a young teen, Bill and Cindy took me on the vacation of my dreams...Cayman Islands. I will always remember the love I observed then and again later in life when I saw their facebook video singing the "Mocking Bird" song together. A great love like theirs is beautiful to see and is an insiration to me. I wish peace and comfort to Cindy and all who have been touched by Bill's love. All my love, Melanie

I remember my father, Bill, as a friendly, energetic, and kind soul. He touched MANY lives in his short stay with us, and will be sorely missed by myself, my brother, and my mother, Patricia. Thank you, dad, for your smile, your kindness, and your wisdom. Love, Bud.
